LOVING, LETTING GO & THE HARVEST: YOUR SEPTEMBER UPDATE FROM LARA

ILLUMINATE TRANSFORMATION AND RESTORE BALANCE.

Holistic Alignment & Relational Artistry

Dear Community,

As summer begins its turn toward autumn, I can feel the season of harvest upon us, a time to gather what has ripened, receive the fruits of what we have tended, and begin releasing what has completed its cycle. I find myself trusting more deeply in the wisdom of these natural rhythms: that there is a time to grow and bloom, a time to harvest, a time to let go, and a time to rest.

Lately, I have been sitting with Aparigraha, the yogic practice of non-attachment or non-grasping. I am learning that non-attachment is not detachment. It is not loving less or protecting myself from the vulnerability of caring. In fact, remembering that everything changes is serving me to love more fully, to open my heart more deeply to receive what is here now, knowing that none of it can be held onto forever.

There is something both tender and liberating in this truth. The people we love change, our bodies change, relationships change, our children grow, seasons turn, and we ourselves are continually becoming. When I loosen my grip on how I think life should unfold, I create more space to meet life as it actually is, to cherish what is here while it is here, and to surrender what is asking to change. Last month I shared a question that has been living in my heart: What does love want here? This month, I find myself asking: Can I trust love enough to loosen my grip on what I think should happen?

As I look toward this next season, I can also feel the harvest in my own work. This weekend, Anthony and I begin Relationship as Embodied Art, our three-month cohort for couples and dyads, a project that has been growing in my heart and work for a long time. From October 10–November 5, I’ll also be leading a Yin Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Pod, an opportunity to slow down, turn inward, and deepen into the quiet wisdom of this practice. And looking toward winter, Lily and I are preparing a three-month women’s journey beginning in December, an intimate space for embodied rhythm, relationship, and the inward season. It feels meaningful to watch these different seeds begin to take form, each in its own timing.

I’m also delighted to share a special opportunity to study Partner Yoga with my teacher, Elysabeth Williamson. She’ll be offering a gifted Partner Yoga Training here in Boulder, October 1–4, an invitation to explore the practice of connection, presence, trust, and embodied relationship. If you’ve felt curious about Partner Yoga or want to deepen your practice, I warmly encourage you to join us.

As we approach the autumn equinox, may we gather what is ripe, honor what has grown, release what has completed, and trust the cycles and seasons of our lives. May we open our hands and hearts to receive what is here now, not loving less because everything changes, but perhaps loving more fully because it does.

With love, Lara Christine

“It is through our intimate relationships with others that we come to know and love ourselves.” - Elysabeth Williamson

My amazing partner Anthony and I are excited to share something we've been dreaming into for quite some time: Relationship as Embodied Art—a 3-month experiential cohort for couples devoted to growing in love together.

We've noticed there are many beautiful spaces for individuals to gather, grow, and heal in community, yet relatively few where couples can intentionally practice relationship alongside other couples. Inspired by this, and by our own devotion to the art of relationship, we're creating a space where couples can deepen through shared presence, witnessing, and reflection.

The cohort includes:

  • Six gatherings over three months.

  • Two cohort formats: in person in North Boulder or online via Zoom.

  • An intimate group with limited enrollment to foster depth and connection.

The ethos of this cohort is rooted in three core principles:

  1. Embodied presence is a doorway into intimacy.

  2. Relational learning is amplified in community.

  3. Relationship is a catalyst for growth and awakening.
